It was time for bed. Peppa jiggled with excitement because it was story time! Daddy Pig read a wonderful tale about a brave knight who sailed on a magical journey. The pictures in the book were so vivid that Peppa could almost imagine them.

A Nighttime Tale

It was late/bedtime/almost dark and Peppa Pig in her bed. She felt tired/sleepy/ready for sleep. Mummy said/told Peppa it was time for a story. "Oh yay!/goody!/hurray!" cried/said/exclaimed Peppa.

Mummy Pig picked up her favorite book about a little bear/fox/rabbit who went on an adventure/journey/trip. The story was all about how the little animal learned/discovered/found new things in the forest/woods/garden. Peppa listened with wide/listening/focused eyes.

She imagined herself going on an adventure/trip/journey too!

When the story was over, Peppa said goodnight to Mummy Pig and hugged/kissed/squeezed her tight. Then, she closed/fell/went asleep, dreaming about all the fun/exciting/amazing things she might see on her own adventure/journey/trip.
